3 Fish and a Duck!

I don't know how he managed to do it, but DH talked me into going fishing with the girls and him yesterday. What was I thinking! I don't like fishing in the first place, and the weather wasn't cooperating (for me anyway - DH claims that dizzily and generally yucky weather is Perfect!)

We got there and were attacked by "killer Geese". At least you would have thought so based on the girls reactions. I haven't seen so much screaming and running since ... well ... hmmm ... you know? I can't think of any other "incidents" quite this bad.

We get the "the bestest fishing spot" (IE the one closest to the playground) and tossed our lines in. Bossy immediately got a bite - a very big bite - enlisting more screams and running. No it wasn't a fish, it was a very stupid duck. I wish I had the camera with me. Not only was the duck funny but Bossy's reaction was equally as hilarious!

Princess on the other hand was a born fisherman, go figure. Not only did she cast her own line, but she handed the worms to DH and held the fish while he got the hook out. She even caught 2 of the 3 fish we hauled in. DH caught the other itsy bitsy fish that we had to throw back.

'Scotty, beam us aboard.' 'Aye, sir. Will a 2x4 do?'
