Well Thanksgiving has come and gone, but luckily left lots and lots of leftovers for us! For those few of you who may be interested, our dinner consisted of a
Good Eats Roast Turkey,
Arnold Herb seasoned Stuffing, Mashed Taters, Biscuits (hey we're southern what can I say!), Pumpkin Bread, and MIL's green bean casserole (I've been told that I can't make it "right" even though I use the same recipe on the back of the can). Desert consisted of Banana Pudding (Again Southern folks!),
Apple Pudding Pie, and
Pumpkin Ginger Cheesecake (great flavor but strange texture).
I've accomplished quite a bit in the past couple of weeks. Here is a couple of Barbie outfits that I crocheted using patterns from ABCentral. I love them since they are super quick and easy but still cute (IE Worsted weight yarn and size E hook)
Here is the start to my niece's gift. I made the hat and had just enough funfur left over to do a cuff for a pair of convertible mittens (1 done, 1 to go)
The Wednesday before last I went on a MNO and painted this at one of the local ceramics studios, I was a whole lot of fun and quite a change from working with yarn.
To the delight of my DH - I started the Dr. Who Scarf last Wednesday with the Richmond Knitting group. After working for 2 days I've accomplished a whopping 7½% of the 1,040 rows of the pattern, I'm hoping I'll get it done in my lifetime.
I'll leave you with proof that the kitties can get along (no matter what Rascal keeps trying to tell me)

Kevin, the homeless guy, knitted a version of that scarf -- check it out here:

You're quite the fast & furious knitter -- I'm so impressed, especially with those convertible mittens!
