Yeah, yeah I know ... I have a Barbie outfit in my
WIP pile. But I have my reasons for not finishing it first. I'm using the needles from it to make the second sock. Hey, I said it was a reason, not a good reason
I made this cute dress and then promised it to the kid who got her room cleaned first. It took
all day but Princess won it in the end.
Bossy took the pictures. Here is her first
attempt, pretty good except for cutting off her head -

A sitting pose

Barbie doing her Linda Blair impression!

Instead of picking up the orange outfit, I started a different one. I think I'll run the same "contest" again.
Lest you think my other family members are being neglectedMy furry Princess had a request. Actually it was more of a demand.

She thanked me in her own unique way -

DH on the
other hand is just happy to have some "quiet time" to play his
new favorite game
"Quiet time" is such a relative word when you have kids.

Got the first sock of pair number 2 done! Want to know what DH said when I showed it off to him?
"Those are great! You can wear them with shoes and everything!"
Thanks dear

So, without further ado ... here is the sock. Sorry for the awful lighting, I couldn't get my cheapo camera to take a good picture.

BTW, What do you think I did with the leftover yarn from my first pair? If you said "barbie clothes" ... WRONG! I went for a new kitty toy

Princess and Dora said it was about time. They had utterly destroyed the last one I made just before the Christmas madness happened.
My Resolutions for 2007Much as I like this one, and may even post it above my desk, it is not on my list this year! I only have a few this year (after failing most of the ones from last year)
1. I resolve to make 2 new Christmas ornaments a month. We purchased a new tree in January 2006 and didn't realize how much bigger it was then our old shabby one. It looked pretty sparse. I could probably do one a week and still not have enough new ornaments for it! But I know myself, I wouldn't do it.
2. I resolve to get a part-time job. I am so sick and tired of not having any yarn money! I went for a couple of promising interviews already. Wish me luck!
Two is my limit. Should be easier this year.
